posadas: the posadas begins with a people out of a house or a place that is going to be the Posada ,and a tradition is that a boy and a girl have clothes like Maria and Jose and all the people that is out sing this song.

Las Posadas is a novenario (nine days of religious observance) celebrated chiefly in Mexico and by Mexican-Americans in the Southwestern United States,beginning December 16 and ending December   24, on evenings (about 8 or 10 )during which Mexican families participate in nightly Christmas processions that re-create the Holy Pilgrimage of Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus on their way to Bethlehem

Piñatas are commonly associated with Mexico. The idea of breaking a container filled with treats came to Europe in the 14th century, where the name, from the Italian pignatta, was introduced.
